Universal Design Training

SeanCAPSSean Gallagher and Traci Tenhulzen attended CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) training earlier this week. The 2-day professional designation program includes negotiating doorways, elevators and barriers in a wheelchair while wearing dark glasses smeared with petroleum jelly.

Since 2001, the CAPS designation has established professional means for adapting homes to accommodate mobility challenges.
