The Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) is a popular way to provide separate and independent living quarters for aging parents. Bellevue, WA – TR honored Trade Contractor of the Year during the annual Trade Contractor Breakfast at the Master Builders Association.
Each year, voting is conducted by the TR production department, relative to TR standards. Tallies were totaled from 6 categories ranging from accuracy to response time.

Sean Gallagher and Traci Tenhulzen attended CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) training earlier this week. The 2-day professional designation program includes negotiating doorways, elevators and barriers in a wheelchair while wearing dark glasses smeared with petroleum jelly.
Since 2001, the CAPS designation has established professional means for adapting homes to accommodate mobility challenges.
