The rather small kitchen lacked the desired features of its accomplished culinary occupants. During careful demolition, the old cabinetry was reinstalled in the garage. A mechanical chase behind the butler’s pantry was relocated to a new smaller void within the new configuration to provide for a much needed hall closet.
The expanded kitchen was made possible by eliminating the existing pantry configuration, and taking 75 square feet of the back yard. With nearly 3 times the counter area, food preparation is efficiently facilitated by a stainless sink in the island, nestled between and under counter drawer refrigerator and stainless compactor.
