Bath Tubs Are Overrated
Making the most of a primary bath without moving walls
This homeowners’ outdated bathroom lacked the tranquility they craved. Collaborating with Tenhulzen Residential for the third project, they envisioned a peaceful spa-like haven. Out went the bulky tub, in came a spacious shower, and a dreamy makeup table, maximizing the existing footprint.
Serene Ambiance: Tile and Lighting Selections
To achieve the desired spa vibe, the design team opted for calming, consistent elements. A water-etched marble tile adorned the shower walls, bringing luxury without being overwhelming. Lighting played a pivotal role, with under-vanity lights adding an ethereal glow, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a day at the spa.
Practicality Meets Aesthetics: Storage Solutions and Vanity Design
While prioritizing serenity, practicality wasn’t overlooked. The floating vanity, lifted off the floor, created an illusion of space while providing essential storage. To maintain functionality, shelves for rolled towels were incorporated, seamlessly blending convenience with elegance.
Budget-Conscious Elegance: Balancing Luxury and Affordability
Though luxurious, the design remained mindful of the budget. Lighted medicine cabinets were swapped for framed mirrors, sconces, and a sleek floating vanity. Thoughtful adjustments, like a pocket door and a cabinet above the toilet, optimized space without compromising style or functionality.
A Tranquil Retreat: Final Touches and Overall Atmosphere
The result? A serene sanctuary that transcends the mundane. From the seamless transition between flooring to the tranquil ambiance created by soft lighting and cohesive design, every detail contributes to the ultimate spa-like experience. The homeowners’ vision of a dreamy, peaceful escape has been brought to life, thanks to the transformative expertise of Tenhulzen Residential.
