A Night of Local Flavor and Craftsmanship
At Tenhulzen Residential, we believe in supporting local businesses and fostering community connections. Recently, we had the pleasure of experiencing an exclusive tour and tasting at JP Trodden Distilling, courtesy of an auction item won at the Woodinville High School PTSA auction. This event perfectly encapsulates our commitment to local craftsmanship and community support.
The JP Trodden Story: 15 Years of Bourbon Excellence
JP Trodden Bourbon, now approaching its 15th year, has become a cornerstone of Woodinville’s craft spirits scene. Founded by Mark & Jennifer Nesheim in honor of his grandfather JP Trodden. This family-owned distillery embodies the spirit of artisanal craftsmanship and is now run by his son Dylan Nesheim. Their journey from a small operation to their current facility, which is two times larger than their original location, mirrors our own growth and commitment to quality.
A Taste of Tradition and Innovation
Our evening began with a delightful charcuterie box from Urban Whey in Mill Creek, setting the stage for an unforgettable tasting experience. We were treated to a range of JP Trodden’s finest offerings:
– Black Label, aged 3 years
– Single Cask, aged for 4+ years
– Blue Label, aged 6+ years
– Green Label, aged 4 years
Each bourbon showcased the distillery’s dedication to quality and patience in the aging process. The highlight of the evening was a special tasting of their innovative Rye whiskey. This unique spirit is crafted using barrels that have previously held bourbon and then maple syrup, imparting a complex and rich flavor profile that left us all impressed.
Looking to the Future: JP Trodden’s Expansion
We were thrilled to learn about JP Trodden’s upcoming expansion. They’ll be opening a new tasting room in the Harvest property, just two blocks from our own Hollywood Manor. This expansion not only speaks to their success but also to the growing vibrancy of Woodinville’s craft beverage scene.
Craftsmanship and Community: A Shared Commitment to Quality
At Tenhulzen Residential, we see parallels between JP Trodden’s commitment to quality and our own approach to home building and renovation. Just as they refuse to sacrifice quality for quantity, we maintain our high standards regardless of project size. Their use of the largest pot-belly still in Washington State to ensure consistent quality resonates with our own use of premium materials and techniques in every home we touch.
Our evening at JP Trodden was more than just a tasting; it was a celebration of local craftsmanship, family-owned businesses, and community ties. As we continue to support and collaborate with local enterprises like JP Trodden, we’re not just building homes – we’re helping to build and strengthen our community.
We’re excited to see JP Trodden’s new tasting room open near Hollywood Manor, further enriching the local experience for residents and visitors alike. It’s collaborations and growth like this that make Woodinville not just a place to live, but a vibrant community to be part of.
At Tenhulzen Residential, we’re proud to be part of this thriving local ecosystem, where craftsmanship, innovation, and community support go hand in hand. Here’s to many more years of success for JP Trodden and all our local artisans!
