This space was once home to the son’s make-shift rock band rehearsal studio, complete with sound mixing equipment and a drum set. But with a little bit of creativity and repurposing, we turned this underground hideaway into a sleek and stylish wine cellar that will make any movie mogul jealous.
The mahogany racking system was originally designed for a previous project that was cancelled due to lack of funds in the declining market. But after a few years in our shop, we were able to modify the components to fit the dimensions of this new space.
With sloped shelves and evenly set spacers, each bottle has its own spotlight in this wine lover’s paradise. And don’t forget about the radiused fixed shelves, which offer a break from the rectangular orientation of the room.
The tumbled travertine mosaic tile floor adds a touch of glamour, while the dimmable Calabria-style sconces provide the perfect lighting for any occasion. And we made sure to insulate all the walls for sound and temperature control, so you can enjoy your vino in peace. Something every Woodinville Wine Country guest will dream of.
