Not all home improvements are created equal. The differences between winning an award and not are based on points assessed by a variety of industry processionals. Not all home improvements are worthy of submitting to local, state and nationally coveted recognition. Our philosophy is to submit only those we expect to win. Here are a few of our award winners in various categories.
BIAW Remodeler of the Year

Max Headroom
A homeowner’s wish for a side yard outdoor living space in their 1993 2-story home ignited our creative home remodeler team. Despite size and property line constraints, we explored three concepts, determined to bring their vision to life.
A Dash of Falu Red
A cramped kitchen, trapped within brick walls, yearned for a remodel in the heart of a family home. It lacked storage, flow, and tormented the chef. Seeking a great room, the homeowners desired space for meal prep and a warm atmosphere for family gatherings.
A Moment In Thyme
After completing the primary suite remodel, we proceeded with the next phase of this home remodel. The focus was on creating barrier-free living spaces into aging in place-friendly areas, for enhanced mobility and accessibility.
Serial Remodeler
Enhancing both function and form, we maintained the flow of upper roof forms within lower walls. The dormer was scaled to optimize north light and architectural appeal over the garage doors. The small bonus room was divided into two separate spaces, replacing the cramped setup with improved functionality.
The Makeover | Secondary Kitchen
This kitchen remodel project began with the demolition of a previously designed space. Our team had to identify the existing plumbing, ductwork, and walls in order to plan for design goals. Unravelling these details enabled our crew to work onsite during the pandemic.
Over The Top
Adding a guest suite to a modern upscale home posed challenges due to site restrictions. Overcoming lot coverage and height limitations, a solution was devised to enhance functionality while considering allergic guests and the relocation of cats.
The Makeover | Primary Suite
This ’80s-era primary bathroom boasted Street of Dreams quality but had aged with self-rimming sinks, polished tile counters, and painted oak cabinetry. Dark shower and closet hallway prompted a reconfiguration and redesign for improved livability, reflecting modern lifestyles and aesthetics.
The Makeover | Kitchen & Main Floor
Named for how much the entire home changed. This whole house renovation made improvements to virtually every room in the home. Changing from the mid ’80’s finishes to a palette of more modern grays overlaid some significant reconfiguration.
Kitchentopia
Savor a remarkable kitchen makeover with oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, granite countertops, and a cherry espresso island. Stainless steel sinks accent cream cabinets with espresso inlay. Modern touches like pullouts and accent millwork bring this kitchen masterpiece to life.
The Spa Who Loved Me
For a spa-like experience at home, this bathroom redesign offers everything except a masseuse and massage table. We redefined the space by relocating the shower and making adjustments to windows and interior walls.
A Periwinkle In Time
For a primary bath remodel, a simple change in everything but the wall color can work wonders. With recessed lighted mirrors, pendant clusters, and a new stained alder vanity topped with quartz, the space is elevated by faux marble tile. To enhance comfort, the barrier-free shower was expanded, utilizing the tub deck as a convenient footrest.
